I may have done it wrong, but i have another weak battery to test it on
for a standard car battery, use a heaped teaspoon per cell, it should be enough, but if the plates have collapsed or fallen apart, the battery is Dead, because @ this stage, they'll be touching one another, thus shorting out

Epsom salts will reduce the internal resistance in a weak or damaged battery & can allow a small amount of extended life.

  • So.. I don't get it very much. Do you have to remove the acid? How much MgSO4 do you have to put in this one battery (in grams)? Did it work after all? When I see the comments above I guess not? But it starts, so...??? I am trying to repair a battery of 24V-900Ah (currently only 20Ah, that's why it needs repair), so that's about 30 of normal car batteries. So will it work? And it will need 30 times as much MgSO4 as normal?

  • @IkTheNew Just add the salts in pre dissolved with distilled water, I'd say 230 Grams, it did work to a degree, the amount I used should be enough for most larger batteries, there was another instructional video showing how it's done, but it is no longer on Youtube :(

  • Where is the Deionized / Distilled water?

    Where is the 60+amp Charger?

Where is the 2-4 amp pulse charger?

    Who wears sandels with socks?

Your experiment is so flawed on so many levels and from the looks of the car your ability to maintain anything is seriously brought into question.

  • @viper1966 This was just a test, LOL, ya ask so many Questions, This car was fucked anyway, so it is used as a Fun thrash buggy

  • DANG! The steering wheel was on the wrong(passenger) side of that vehicle!! What the heck kind of car or truck is it??

  • @da959 1981 Daihatsu Handivan, Which was later called Handi, Then Charade & now I think they call this model Mira now

  • Looks "pretty shagged" indeed

  • Sound like he's drank some to me ?

  • @trunk516

    Hey mate!

When I see a comment like yours I expect to see white trailer trash that has hacked into his neighbors cable connection stealing internet.

    Cheers!

  • I've pretty much come to the conclusion that if I go to anything technical and I hear an Australian accent, I'm going to see some half drunk redneck in his garage/driveway spouting pure horseshit. Only real question here is..Where is your can of Fosters in the vid?

  • @da959 It was involved in a very bad accident and had the steering mechanism bashed clear to the other side of the vehicle....pedals too.

  • Has anyone tested the vinegar/baking soda/paint shaker cleaning method.Heard that it works wonders if there are still enough lead plates left inside the bat.

  • What language is this in? I hear odd words and phrases in English - couldn't really follow it though - Is it some mish-mash of a South-East Asian language with English? Or maybe some sort of Pidgen from Africa?

What IS he trying to say???

    - And before anyone asks me English IS my first language having been born and bred in the UK.....
