Canon S90 Powershot review

I just got the Canon S90 PowerShot and I wanted to show you the camera since there hasn't been a lot of in-depth videos posted about the features.

The S90 is basically a scaled down version of the G11 Canon's - an Elph with full manual controls. The camera is built almost completely out of metal and has a sturdy build quality to it. The front of the camera has a manual control dial which can be fully customized to control anything from apeture to exposure compensation.

The LCD is pretty impressive too, fairly wide for a camera with excellent resolutions, the camera also has image stabilization and a f2.0 lens with a 28mm-105mm focal range.

I was thinking about doing something like this but I have not had much time. I would suggest familiarizing yourself with the basics of photography, which will help you take pictures with anything.

One of the best resources I've found is Ken Rockwell (google him). Definitely if I get some time it might be interesting to do a few tutorial videos.

Yes this shoots JPEG+RAW.

why is it that when i am in nostalgic mode, every time i "turn the wheel to control age effect" it skips to the to stitch assist mode or color swap? i must be dumb i cant figure it out. i've seen some cool pictures in black and white that look old but my nostalgic mode always comes out normal color....

That actually depends on the social network. For instance with flickr, yes it will maintain quality because they focus on sharing photographs. However some social networks will either force you to only submit content that is below a certain size (lets say less than 4 MB) or they may have software on their side which degrades the image. The reason is it takes a lot of their server bandwith to store/display images.
