Hometown of the Coors Brewery, Golden is a perfect mix of old west charm, and modern architecture located at the foot of the Rocky Mountains.

  • @Dreug: Thin Brown Layer by Tommy Guerrero

  • @undergroundbasement: Golden butts up against the foothills so it's very close. Now if you're asking proximity to ski areas, it's a bit farther, but still closer than Denver or Boulder or even the Springs would be. Winter Park is probably just under an hour away without much traffic.

@gazza3337: sorry, i'm hoping a Golden local will answer your question because we don't live in Golden ourselves. hopefully your friends will know the good places to take you ;)

  • @mrstonyromo9 I found a cheap 2 bedroom cabin in Evergreen which I moved to in May 2010,got suckered by a shady landlord that said I could put my 2 a/c window units in,after I moved in he said I'd have to pay an electrician to rewire the cabin before I put them, which he mentioned nothing of rewiring before I moved in.I baked my ass off through the summer.Neighbors said I'd get snow starting Sept., -I'm still waiting on snow. This May I moving to west Denver. Hell follows me wherever I move to.

  • @undergroundbasement well there is a mountain right in Golden,Im from Maine but my cousins live there. Its a goregous town. Id say pack..NOW!

  • @gazza3337 golden city brewers is cool. its in a guys back yard just west a few blocks from the coors brewery

  • I am visting some friends who live in Golden or nearby in July any recommendations as to where to go to eat and which saloons or bars to visit?

  • I moved to Colorado Springs from Georgia last summer and I love Colorado but I don't think I want to put down roots in Colorado Springs, I want to live closer to the Rockies, and have more snow, and be closer to ski resorts, one thing I'm worried about is cost of living...as I found a cheap place to live in Colorado Springs, I know the cost gets greater in and around the Denver area but Colorado Springs to me is a bit on the boring side, How close to the mountains is Golden Colorado?

  • Good video. I live here in Golden and this is a good representation of our beautiful lil' town. Let us not forget the good ol' Buffalo Rose and the late Foss general store.

  • tee hee i live here

  • Makes me homesick. I moved from there to Columbia Tennessee almost two years ago. I miss it. But after surviving lung cancer I couldn't breathe in the altitude. Here it is only about 200 feet above sea level.
