Raja was diagnosed with Feline Diabetes in February of 08. Thanks to the wonderful people at http://felinediabetes.com/ Raja is now in remission.

If your cat was diagnosed with diabetes I urge you to check out the site. They will walk you through everything and they are very helpful in the beginning when things seem so overwhelming.

  • I have a 13 year old cat who last week was found to have diabetes. I know how to take care of her. Having purchased the appropriate supplies, whichare not so expensive as in the States, ie the meter was a penny. I do find it hard to extract blood from her ear even when the vein is backlit with a torch. Her ear does not bleed, just me I get pricked through her ear. I have also tried warming the ear to expand the vien nothing works. What about paw infections when she uses the litter after a test?

  • I wish the vet let me know I could do this. I gave my kitty insulin for four plus years and never once checked his blood sugar my self. Rest in Peace Mr Midnight my Love.
