Russian war criminal assassinated in Moscow‎

A Russian army colonel convicted of murdering a Chechen teenager has been killed in a daylight shooting in Moscow. Yuri Budanov was Russia's only convicted war criminal.

Budanov was sentenced to 10 years in jail for kidnapping and murdering the 18 year-old in the year 2000 but he was released on parole in 2009, sparking protests in Chechnya.

Given the persistent allegations of torture and human rights abuses by Russian troops against Chechens his case came to symbolise Russia's apparent indifference to some of the worst actions in the wars.

While the Chechen wars may be history now, they still claim their victims.

Chechens suffered mostly from their own stupidity and their criminal government in past. Dudaev was criminal who ilegally siezed power in Chechen republic by force and ethnic cleansing.

Criminals, murderers, rapists and terorists were people like: Dudaev, Basaev, Maskhadov, Zakaev...sick and perverted criminals, who killed and slaughtered inocente people...and at the same time proclaiming themself as good musslims.

Chechnya is Russia. Chechnya has been Russia for 200 years now. Chechnya was established as a country by Russian Cossacks in 18 century. Chechens have mixed mariages with Russians and Russians with Chechens for 200 years now. 30% ethnic Russian, 10% Cossacks, Ukrainians, Armenians, Jews... lived in Chechen republic before war. And they will come back, and nobody will stop them. You understand this ?

Chechen independence is a myth. And their oil allso.
