Many young girls undergo trauma during their menstrual cycle. This is made worse when they have no one to talk to and with parents too poor to afford sanitary towels. 24,000 girls will now get the much-needed help. Linda Ogutu has the details.

  • Govermnet? Government? Remember Cuba is where it is today because they shipped there Goverment out in a boat. Cuba has the world's best health care, clean beaches and good food, island paradise. Love it the island goverment, but not their idealogy.

  • 20 YEARS AGO WE DID NOT HAVE THE BIGGEST SLUM IN THE WORLD. How did we get here? How do we get out? Its hard to imagine this when much larger populations like India do not have such a slum. 20 YEARS AGO WE WERE ON THE SAME LEVEL AS SINGAPORE. There lies hope.

  • slash all the taxes on such items...let them flood the market and be as cheap as possible...even the said poor will have them...banana republic with primitive leaders who only thinks of thy only biological childrens..if any have them that is!

  • and when you give birth what we do? take you to jail? hang you? If only there were corrupt leaders basic needs would be available to everyone. Also Kenyans we are selfish.

    How many Kenyans know about ways birth control? Do the churches encourage it? NO. Educate Kenyans and they will be more than willing to chnage instead of making laws that will lead us to more problems.
