The feature film "The Good Deed" is an experimental project that originally started out to be a movie trailer. The idea was to produce a trailer as sort of a "1st project teaser" to promote a new start up production company, "Rosary Productions. Its purpose was to show potential clients, actors, writers and film executives, the possibilities of shooting low cost, high profit theatrical productions on Cape Cod. Production began when suddenly a new idea of changing the trailer to a short film emerged. All agreed, so Rosary Productions now armed with a new vision, set forth plans to shoot a short film instead. Three days into filming, the executive producer said, "Why don't we just shoot the damn movie?" So, with no budget, a crew of three, an old short film script, an old camera, 3 lights and a lot of sacrifice and commitment: "The Good Deed" was born. With a cast of 90, only 3 had acting experience. The rest are regular folks who sacrificed their weekends to help out. Director Keith Rosary's ability to teach on the spot and create something out of nothing was remarkable. This is truly guerilla film making at its best. Shot on location on both Cape Cod and Provincetown, we hope you enjoy our experiment.
