Tim Ferriss: how to make money with your blog

During the diner we had after The Next Web i got the chance to sit down next to Tim Ferriss. Which wound up to be a very worthy sit down. Looking at my own dutch blog http://www.kbiri.nl I was curious on his views to make money with it. I mean don't me wrong, money isn't my main reason to blog. But I need it to fullfill my next level steps, for my blog to become better.

And to my suprise the knowledge he shared came pretty close to my thoughts about it. Nothing is better then confirmation from someone who knows what he's talking about.

Eh, I disagree erica. Good content is the best SEO, no question. Conventional SEO is trying to convince Google that your content is more useful than it really is. You can only game the system so far. If you want Google rank, write content that is worth linking to. Nothing will help your blog grow faster than exceptional content.

"The best SEO is good content." Probably one of the top myths out there. Ugh. SEO isn't that huge of an effort...try the free Google Keyword Tool, then line your content up with it...and the benefits are immense.

1) Google keyword tool

2) Tweak your headline + first and last sentence of your post to include terms that people are searching for

3) Write guest posts and get other people to link back using that same phrase

This will help you grow your blog a LOT faster.
