  • Excuse my ignorance, or rather my emotional reprise..

But was this the other side of the world when thousands were being murdered by the Nazis in Europe. This freaks me out... Look how happy these people are.

A cold chill runs down my spine as I write this message.

  • @Desi4evah You are very right and yes, it is cruel to be this happy when, at the same time, horrible things are going on..It has always been like this - many people are suffering while others are able to enjoy their life to the fullest and show it. I guess this emotional injustice will always be there. But do not forget that movies were and are often seen very much as an escape to get away from reality..and besides, these people may look happy but I am not sure they really are.

  • Ist sie nicht hübsch? I like this little film quite much! I only wished she had more dance numbers in it. By the way, Rita's co-stars, Tony Martin and Edith Fellows, are still alive.

  • @et7waage

hübsch ist untertrieben :D. yeah i think it's not SUCH a good film, but it's kind of cute, and Rita is so good in it..i wish she had more dance numbers too! and yeah i only today found out they were still alive :)..i envy those people who worked with her..i want to meet them all and hear rita stories from them :D

  • People relax! They were paid to look happy in movies, they did what they were told. They were all unhappy about the nazis and the Jews, but they couldn't show it in the movies. So y'all need to shut the hell up!

  • @Skibone21 First off, you got my comment out of context. So it's no use talking to you... Only if you had the brains to understand!

  • @Desi4evah There were people in the U.S. burning and fleeing for the 75 yrs prior. I didn't lives stopping in order to save them. So just because times are bad for others means you can't smile and have fun with all the trouble around you? That makes absolutely no sense.

  • @Skibone21 Think what? We are not talking about war between Israelis and Palestinians, or America and Iraq, for that matter. We are talking about the Entire Europe burning and people fleeing left and right to save their lives.

  • @Desi4evah There hasn't been a time in this world when there weren't horrible things going on. Is everyone supposed to be unhappy because there is a war going on in the world? That would mean everyone would be unhappy all the time. Think about it. It's just a movie.

  • @Desi4evah All this was to distract the public from the reality of the horrors of the War.

  • Such a charming, impromptu-looking scene.

  • @Desi4evah i'm still wondering

    WTF?

  • @KarenKmJloB I know. I was just comparing the two sides of the world. That's all.
