Your comments seem highly ignorant and your assumptions are unfounded.Ron Paul is the closest thing to what is known as a classical conservative.Basically a classic conservative places a high value on civil liberties, while limiting large government encroachment across the board. He is a classic conservative, do you think that he is supposed to run on the same ticket as generally more liberal dems who more often times than not favor a larger government?And the GOP is usually conservative like RP

Well, I don't think that's true. I personally support many more of his issues than just taxation.

I think the question is rather: why are all the other GOP candidates running on that ticket? They may as well be Democrats for the way they vote. Ron Paul is a true Republican.

Ron Paul is nothing more than the Republican apologist's candidate. Why is he even running on the same ticket when his views are so obviously disparate from the rest of the GOP? I think most supporters of Paul are united largely over one issue: taxation. Paul supporters are trying to hide their shame for voting Bush twice with their usual election cycle talk of taxation and Constitution.
