We were called with John Taficuk to New Zealand west coast by NZ Alpine Club to repair broken double glazed windows at Pioneer and Centennial Huts. The plan was to fly to the first one, Pioneer hut, replace broken units and fly to Centennial, but the wind, which was too strong, made landing by the other hut impossible. So we flew back down to Franz Joseph village and gave it another try next day. But there was a guy doing hut inspection, so I could fly up there again :( But brave man from Department of Conservation, Rod Barker, made the video for us (after a long briefing in the pub) and he did really good job, especially the "toilet shot"!
