This one-hour webinar provides an introduction to the theoretical basis and practical application of participatory evaluation methods. You will learn about: how popular education informed the development of participatory evaluation, the difference between convention, participatory, and empowerment evaluation methods, and the core principles of participatory methods (interactive, integrated, empowerment oriented). The webinar will focus on using participatory methods to measure knowledge, skill and attitudes. The participatory methods that will be covered in this webinar include card sorting, attitude thermometers, labels, stickers and dots, cooperative interviewing, mapping, observations and skill demonstrations.

By the end of this webinar, participants will:

* Be familiar with the theoretical background behind participatory methods
* Be able to identify strengths and limitations of using participatory methods
* Be able to identify possible participatory methods for each of three different types of measurements
* Have confidence to select appropriate participatory methods for their own program
