This is my normal stomping ground through Padova, Italy. I start out from the store close to my home then i head over the bridge to reach the "bread of life" tower. After that I make my way through the streets to get to one of our favorite squares were I have eaten more ice cream than I can count. After that I head through some side streets until I end up in Prato Della Valle. I have a tone of great memories in Prato. Then I met some people and got them to be involved in my film. After that I go to the church to check out St. Luke's casket and then I decided to head over to St. Anthony's church. Then through the old university, and then home. I have grown very fond of this place. I will forever have this place in my heart. This video is a small reminder of the places I have been and the good times I have had in them. This last little part sums up my thoughts of Padova in a nut shell....feel free to read if you want to .....

This is what it is all about. There is nothing in the world quite like riding through the streets of Padova, Italy at night on bicycle. The beautiful weather combined with timeless architecture and cobble stone roads make for completely breathless experience. I absolutely love it. I feel like everyone needs to see it from my eyes to fully understand... As I ride behind the leader of the pack I get swept away to another place entirely, like something from a dream. We set off over the first bridge and dodge a few cars at the round about. Then we head down a long gravel bike path while passing people who are walking their dogs. There are six of us in total. Like a pack of little kids going out to ride their bikes, but instead bikes are normal transportation here. The roads are lined with lights that expel a dim yellow glow across our path. As we go further into the inner city we start to ride exclusively on cobble stone roads. Some of witch, have two small concrete paths on either side of the road, which make for a smoother ride when available. Then the frenzy occurs. It is 10:00 pm on a Tuesday night and people are out on the town. A motorcycle flies by at almost 50 mph as the streets become alive with nightlife. People are enjoying all the essentials of life. A good conversation accompanied with food, wine, and the most important, and essential, scoop of gelato ice cream. As we enter the center square or piazza we are cut off by a small 3 wheeled motor cart. We follow it for a while through a few street lights until we veer off to our home location, but not before passing under Galileo's tower, which is attached to the inner city wall. The same tower where Galileo used he newly formatted telescope to study and realize that the Earth was not the center of the universe. We then take our last turn and ride over the water one last time before we arrive at our destination. Home. It is an experience I will never be able to get out of my head. And I will forever be pleased because of it.
