The owner of the mine is Chris Rose and visit.highdesertgemsandminerals for all the info and phone numbers for the dig. The public dig is open Thursday through Sunday 10 am.-3pm.

This tourmaline dig is currently in operation, and you can go there! It is at the Lake Henshaw Resort just WEST of Julian, Calif. Call 619-991-2226, and speak to Simon King regarding the tourmaline dig.

Where is the Himalaya ? I have only been to the Stewart mine.I did find a nice 41 ct pink tourmaline from there.
