@CainmosniMirrored Thematic adaptation is necessary in many cases. An amazing composer like Hans Zimmer understands this. Why would he -not- use the theme that Mr. Elfman created? Why would he go on to create something completely new? People would just bitch that it's not the familiar theme.
That aside, when composers -do- create an all new theme for a movie, they are usually raked over the coals for it. Like James Newton Howard for the Last Airbender, amazing though that score is.

All Zimmer did with this song was rip off the main theme, and he added a few loud parts. That is all he ever does.
