This song was very popular in America too! I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure it actually got up to #3 on Billboard song chart.

Can't understand anyone trashing the lyrics in this classic because the opening stanzas are up there with Tom Waits and although it's a cliche "and we pray this night never ends" should have meaning to anyone who has ever been on a date, But, then, I guess some people haven';t, which makes me sad. Carmen always said he was misunderstood but he becomes more accessible at 80 mph with the top down, in the night, with someone lovely riding shotgun. Wind through your hair for sure, Eric.
