I can say when you down load SQ Editor and change the valuue from 1 to 0, Verizon thinks you are wired thered which is free for us....Also if you are grandfather in to the UNLIMITED data usage that is great :)
Also ive been doing this for almost a year and have had no charges......

DB Browser users
1. Download DB Browser of android market
2. Open DB Browser and click "search DB", leave the search blank
3. there are 2 "settings.db. Choose the one that has "com.motorola.android.provider
s.settings" in it. 4. click "explore data base"
5. click "tables", and then click "settings", and then "see data"
6. Scroll down to rows 147 entitlement check, and 148 usb_entitlment check
7. highlight each row, and hit the settings button and select "edit row"
8. Change each row "Value" to 0

Worked the 1st time!!
I used DB Browser which is FREE (however, it is a little harder to use)
My phone is rooted, running Android 2.3.4 (system version 5.9.901) and I have the grandfathered data plan.

Well while i use the easytether i tried having my phone on charge only and it still didn't Charge (its supposed to be on usb mode) so idk. But when you say use the mobile hotspot hack, isn't that what your doing in this tut? Or is that another video? I really appreciate the help btw.

Before i do this, i have a few questions (if you don't mind answering them.)
1. Can i connect my xbox to my phone using wifi tethering and play live?
2. I have unlimited data and im grandfathered into it, so if i play alot will i get in any trouble? The only way i can is if i try to use my phone to connect multiple devices at a time right?
3. Can i do wifi tethering without having my phone connected to my computer ( that may be a dumb question as i don't know the meaning of tethering?)

The reason i asked all those questions were because i am currently using easy tether and i can play xbox live perfectly fine. My only problem is, my phone doesn't charge while i have it tethered to my computer. It would be nice to be able to take my phone anywhere in my house and just connect my xbox (or any other device) without having to have my phone connected to a computer.

@broadnax1991 You should be fine, but use the mobile hotspot hack instead, dunno about your phone not charging, that's probably your easy tether???

Actually, PDAnet says they can hide your tether usage. =D Not sure if its true or not. Oh, and, FIRST!
