Serious Sam: The Second Encounter is a throwback to the classic days of first person shooters where all you have to do is keep the enemy in your sights, your finger on the fire button. The story is a joke and the game takes it as such. You will never have to follow any sort of plot line other than "Mental" is the bad guy, Sam is the good guy, and you've got to beat up many minions to get to the end.

i have to agree. I do hope the next serious sam game picks up right where this one left off with the rocket taking off, maybe with him crashing into sirius and then you kill mental in the end and travel into the future and everything is saved that would be pretty cool

@CaesarCJ15 Only if you time it going in with Quadraple damage activated. Then you're doing 4x as much damage as normal.

Try fighting him without that. Completely different story.
