@AnnShchadrina No, but it is the first fiction film ever. All earlier films have no plot. Obviously, it's also the first comedy film ever.

@Jellyfish60 You won't believe it, but it has been remade. It's called 'The Biter Bit', and it was made in 1900. I can't find any videos on YT, but it's basically the same as this one except it has a tree in the foreground. Sad, I know. Just thought I'd let you know; even if it is a year later than your original comment haha =)
