Thank god the USA came up with brilliant numbers like this. In Britain we had Mel+ Kim, 5 star and Erasure back in 1986...Americans kept it funky. I hated as a 7 year old hearing shit on the radio during the day while at night "Shake you down" was played while my aunt was getting ready to meet my uncle at the club. The soul music then was great . House would then take over in 1987."Headlines" by Midnight Star is alright too..
