Just thought i'd share with anyone interested how my GT5 is setup.

If you want to get as close as possible to any patch settings i post you may need to configure your menu the same as mine but it's still no guarentee you'll get close due to different gear and guitar playing awesomeness or shitness!

i skipped a few menus coz i don't use them.

You'll notice i have my reveb set at 36%, this is due to changing it during a gig and i never got round to changing it back...i kinda like my 36% so don't forget to compensate for that if you use any of the patches i share!

**WARNING** - before you edit your utility menu to look like mine, write down your GT5 settings first, that way if you don't like the way i roll you can always go back to your original settings! don't blame me for loss of data!!

The ropey playing in the background is from a dodgy number i recorded about 4 years ago...as ever...IBANEZ s620GKx - GT5 - PC

Don't forget...tone is all in the fingers

  • Nice....................................................thanks.

I am worried that my GT-5 battery will go out and i will lose all my patch data.

Do you know if you can change battery without losing data?

I do have a midi software program that I got online to edit GT-5, but have not used it.

Guess I will just buckle down and write all the parameters to be on the safe side.

Hi, i've had my GT-5 since 1997 and i've never had to change the battery so i have no idea if you lose all your settings or not but it's good practise to write down your settings or use the MIDI software if you can.

  • wath song is that in de video??

  • @ixcuix You will lose your data if you change the battery whilst the unit is switched off ... I changed mine with the power on BUT it's not recommended. Download Midiox - it's freeware and does the job. If you've got a gameport on your PC you can get a midi to gameport cable and save your settings. Alternatively look out for a Creative Audigy souncard ... they have midi ports to connect direct to the GT 5.

  • Thank You
