Musical Memory

Science Fiction:
Music is found in every known culture, past and present, varying wildly between times and places. Around 50,000 years ago, early modern humans began to disperse from Africa, reaching all the habitable continents.

2 Chronicles 7:6a "And the priests waited on their offices: the Levites also with instruments of musick of the LORD, which David the king had made to praise the LORD, because his mercy [endureth] for ever, when David praised by their ministry..."

Are you a musician? From the standpoint of evolution, human musical ability serves no purpose. Assuming that the laws of nature could even invent musical ability, they would have no reason to do so. However, from the standpoint of creation, music serves to praise our Creator.

Unfortunately, some of us who enjoy music cannot carry a tune, while other people can play or sing a piece without even looking at any music after hearing it once. The scientific study of musical ability has become an important area of study as a result of some recent discoveries. Researchers have discovered that it's true that some people have natural musical ability and some don't. They have found that some people have perfect pitch, even if they have no musical training, while those who are tone-deaf remain tone-deaf despite musical training. Studies show that only about one person in 2,000 has perfect pitch.

Researchers were shocked to find solid evidence that musical ability is genetically inherited. Studying musical ability in both musically trained and untrained families, they found that musical ability follows a dominant inheritance pattern. Sons or daughters have a 50 percent chance of inheriting the gene from a parent who carries it.

How could mindless evolution develop a gene that codes for musical ability? Even evolutionists appear to be puzzled by this. But those of us who believe in the Creator praise Him whether we have musical ability or not!

When Rock and Roll along with Top 40s era of music came, it came because America was finally becoming INTEGRATED. If you remember, some of the early R&R had a Black gospel flavor because it was from the spirituals and church along with R&B and C&W, that unfortunantly gave way to Death Metal etc. and the downward slide after 1988---songs are different not styles anymore--to prove it, many teenagers are into WOODSTOCK--compare that to hippies into WW2 music

Music is the ONLY thing taught to students. Even more than sports. Music is also within the number 12 just like the 12 hours of day---12 is the number of 'government'--ever since 1988, musical 'evolution' went downhill--not songs but STYLES and it has gotten more VILE====they just use 80s type melodies, but 'yak' all over them--rock music styles are still basically 80s along with rap--the only thing that has changed is songs which are 'sampled' from other songs--God wont give creativity to filth

@jeffblue101 No, you're quoting someone who is saying something you want to be true. The article I cited refutes the cost of selection problem for the same reasons explained on the TO page.
