@scuddy2323 You have to buy an Algae light, what kills the algae.
Its a light you can put between the hose of your pump and the water circulates and passes the UltraViolet light.
That will keep your Aquarium clean of algae and disease free.
Also you will see no more little dust floating around, what make's your aquarium filty.

can i ask...
1) wont they just dig up the black sand now ?
2)how can you change the sand wen all the friendly bacteria have developed in there... isnt that dangerous to the fish ?

The malawi's would dig into the white sand all the time.

like ur tank vry nice,any tips on keeping ur rocks white? ive got ocean rock in mine and am having small problem with the algae,liking the cat aswell nice touch lol

Don't turn on the light too long. In the beginning I had them on for about 12h a day. Now I only put them on 6 or 7h a day an much less algae. Also a couple of catfish might help.
