If youre looking to get the most flavor from your pepper, then using fresh cracked pepper is a must.

The worlds most popular spice was once so valuable that it was actually used as a form of currency.

Whole peppercorns, when cracked and used right away, will have a more lively and sharper flavor than the pre ground pepper.

To crack the peppercorns, youre going to need a pepper mill. I highly recommend purchasing an electric pepper mill or battery operated pepper mill.

This is a great kitchen gadget because unlike the traditional manual wood pepper mill that requires the use of two hands, the electric pepper mills use the push of a button to free the other hand to handle the product you are seasoning.

For recipes that call for pepper, start using fresh cracked pepper and youll notice the flavor enhancement instantly.

i was wondering where did you purchased your pepper mill grinder....tnx so much....Im looking forward to buy for myself

  • @applevargas88 I got it online years ago from a Cooking Supply site. Just search for electric pepper mill and you should find something nice. Cheers!

  • Greetings Jason,

I was wondering, is there a difference between a pepper mill and a salt mill?

I thought of buying a pepper mill to use with rock salt but later I read in a magazine that it was not recommended to do so because the salt is harder than the pepper and the mill can wear out really fast. So I began looking for a salt mill but cannot find any of the like.

What can you tell me about this?

  • I bought our salt grinder from Costco. It actually comes packaged this way. Amazon sells several types of salt grinders, but I wouldn't use rock salt. Usually sea salt is a popular choice. Hope this helps! Jason
