The sexual scandal inside the Catholic Church is being exploited as an opportunity to discredit the Church itself as an institution. That is the truth. If you choose to pour gasoline on those flames in hopes that the Church will be consumed in a holocaust of accusations, then it will be you who sins. That is the truth.

@SpinozasPsyche I think the bigger problem in the church is the fact that people who molest are moved and hidden, they should be delt with charged and thrown in jail just like any other child molester. People who abuse children are not gay or straight they are perverts who prey on the young. My guess is they are living in a church that cares more about its pocket book then young souls.

If the Catholic church wants to survive in the Western world they will need to allow priests to marry. Not only is this likely to significantly cut down on the molestation rate, but this will also breed Catholics and add to the church membership.
Fortunately they probably will not allow priests to marry so they will slowly fade. Let the self destruction continue.

@darwinsdangerousidea Yes, it would help indeed. The catholic church usually cites Matthew 4:18-20 to justify why they don't allow priests to marry. They assume that by leaving everything behind, the apostles showed that they were to forfeit a married life as well.
