I'm going to make a sweet spread for the scones I made last night. In this recipe I did use raw honey, so it is not exactly vegan, but it is vegetarian. You can always add a different sweetner like agave nectar or whatever you choose to use. Remember, you can substitute the sweetner where you want to.

I made these scones and used my dehydrator. The temperature on my dehydrator is about 105 degrees and it did take about 12 hours to dehydrate. I just wanted to give you an idea on how long this would take you if you use one. The oven would go faster if you used that.

I'm going to make a butter for these. I'm not going to use dairy butter, but rather coconut oil. We'll give it a little color and sweetner too. I mashed up my coconut oil so it is nice and creamy. Add a dash of turmeric, not so much for the flavor, but the color. Add raw honey and a little bit of salt to enhance the flavors a bit more. Mix that all up and give it a little taste test to make sure it's to your liking.

After whipping it up, it has a nice consistency and it tastes really good, very similar to a honey butter.
