  • Queen Elizabeth 2 is indeed like all the Ocean Liners who came before her & those who came after her like Queen Mary 2 a very special ship.

  • QE2 wasn't 40 until last year, so to be exact, She was 39 years old when she was retire.

  • QE2 was a beautiful Liner. I don't know why he said that Solas would forbid wood on a Ocean Liner. Queen Victoria & Queen Elizabeth, the new one has wood. so that just baka-bakanii

  • What was that guy going on about at 3:10? Doesn't both Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria have acres of wooden panelling as well as the soon to set sail Queen Elizabeth? Can someone please eplain?

  • 100 million to decommission her? wow! That's sad it'll sit in Dubai.

  • 1:24 is a cool picture, miss ya

  • I worked on board in the Queens Grill Restaurant in 1987-88. I hope to go and see her in Dubai and prehaps stay on board. Does anyone know if they are taking bookings?

  • That passenger did'nt know what he was talking about. Passenger ships can still have wood onboard-it just has to be fire treated. There are several brand-new cruise ships that have acres of natural wood paneling onboard.
