The High Priests represent the Druids or ancient Celts who basically kept the faith. In this case Beltane. The Lord of the Dance is Cernunnos or the Green Man who is of the Wild Nature but is also a Sun god. He is represented in some way or form throughout Europe, the Mediterranean, Africa and Asia. In India he is called Shiva Nataraja which also means Lord of the Dance. He is also Lord Krishna in South India and in Greece he is Apollo or Helios. Flatley did his homework when he created this.
