Farmall H plowing with a 3 bottom Oliver plow at the Field Days Antique Tractor & Engine Club Show in Park Rapids, Minnesota. August 1st-2nd 2009. This was a real nice running H.
we had 2 farmall BM's and they both pulled 3 & 4 furrow plows no trouble a lot depends on soil type and the depth we kept the depth at between 4 &6 inches any deeper and your putting all the good stuff too deep
@texasnfootball22 When you look back at the plow, it is usually to see if it is tracking where you want it to and in this case he was checking to see if it lifted when he wanted it to. Nothing happens if you don't look forward. Except that you may get out of line or run into something if it is too close.
What are you looking at when you look back at the plow? Does anything happen if you look back at the plow and don't look foward? ( just curious) maybe someone has an answer.
@MrJim2236 If your H won''t pull 2 bottoms, you either have one really sick tractor, or your plowing asphalt. I've seen A's pull 2x12's. The H's are rated from the factory as a "full" 2 bottom plow. Obviously this video was shot in ideal conditions, with shallow depth settings on the plow. Even so, the H is pulling 3 nicely. I just love how tractors were originally rated for 2 or 3 bottoms, and can hardly pull 1 now. Your plows pull hard probably because you don't have them set correctly.
I've got an H and a 2-14 M-M plow in my area at times I should have 1-14, the H in the video could be suped up like people do with the JD-A and JD-G in the tractor pulls LOL!
