The big day - the long distance - of the Nationals was won by Andrew Bott, ahead of debutante MTB orienteer Mark 'Cabin' Leishman, both pro elite mountanbikers. Oceania Champion (sprint orienteering) Jamie Stewart was third. Marquita Gelderman won womens again, taking all three distances at the Nationals, ahead of kath Copland each time.
