  • They never have commercials. The downside though is that you have to pay for that.

  • Sends a shiver down your spine when he says that "when we finish tomorrow well be over half-way into the first day of the next ONE THOUSAND YEARS". To think we stood at such a special point in time

  • is there anywhere where i can find the rest of this? :)

  • I wonder if, in 2999 people - if there are any - will be considering the possibility of a Y3K Bug.

  • @rtk316ytshooter94 wtf?! our public broadcasting service has commercials and in the same time we pay for it!!!

  • wow. thanks for posting this. we watched it live here in the Philippines from the satellite feed.. and it's amazing that the Philippine broadcaster covered it non-stop for 28 hours from Dec 31 to Jan 1.. nostalgic.

  • I remember this really well, despite being only 6 years old. Does any one else remember there was a feature on this programme where they showed you round this family's home, and they had re-decorated their entire bathroom (possibly home too) in "2000" themed stuff... does anyone have footage of that? It would be funny to see it again!

  • will we see 3000 today at the end of 2999

  • I really wish I paid more attention to this when it aired. WGBH Boston(my local PBS station) co-produced the entire thing with the BBC.

  • I was sad enough to have watched most of this in (then) Mother's room (now my room) for about 14-16 hours of it, like Gaby I had catnaps, but I agreed it was the biggest event of it type for a generation, but no-one believes me that this programme actually existed.

I miss this type of programming, I also wished I could have recorded all 28+ hours on VHS so I could have had them converted to DVD today.

I'm so pathetic but I really enjoyed this programme.

  • i remember watching this

  • Yes but renamed L2K
