@instar57 just checked facebook. Jon is the only one with a fan page (sorta) not a real fan page. You are correct, they're from Chicago. He played with Cheap Trick '81-'87. And plays with the 'Bun E. Carlos Experience'

There are some other hits on that same album that made a boom and were played a lot on radio, such as One good lover (Big big hit), don't let go and love shut down... Great music !!!
