Rep. Steve Hickey of Sioux Falls is the prime sponsor of House Concurrent Resolution 1004. This is a resolution that is encouraging and supporting the academic study of the bible in South Dakota Public Schools. It's passed the House and Senate. We'll visit about why he brought the bill forward and if signed by the Governor what that means.

Then a visit with Sen. Angie Buhl. The Senator will talk about a resolution recognizing the week of January 22 - 28, 2012, as Reproductive Rights Awareness Week. It failed on the floor of the House of Representatives. We'll talk about why it failed.

Sen. Buhl will also visit with us about a few issues she is sponsoring this session including: a bill that will prohibit hiring discrimination on the basis of current employment status and another that will make an appropriation for Feeding South Dakota and to repeal the sales tax on food refund program.

Rep. Jim Bolin will visit with us about his bill to extend term limits for state lawmakers.

A conversation with representatives from the Democratic and the Republican Party.

Professor Matthew Moen from USD will join me to talk about the history of term limits in SD and how other states deal with term limits and their laws.
