why would you get a dodge caliber right now? they're comping out with the new amazing dart in the first month of next year and it is lik 10 times as good as this car in every way possible: engine, transmition, LOOKS!!!!LOOKS!!!!LOOKS!!!! technology, interior, space, customization, trunk size, etc. and especially with that massive LED tailight. no, not talightS, just one big tailight made of LEDs. and this caliber is so....blech. bad buy!

@leprachaunskate Well "leprachaun", first of all, the dart wont be coming out till like March of 2012, and we got this caliber almost a year ago. So we didnt even know what a dart was at the time. But yes, I do agree with you, the dart looks fantastic and overall much better than the caliber.

First and foremost, your reference to the "cheap plastic" it is actually best in class interior fit and finish with soft touch premium plastics. Have you ever been in a Ford, obviously not! It has remote start, Bluetooth with VR, premium cloth seating, removable storage bins, a cooler, Aux/ AM/ FM/ CD, B.I.C horse power, and Nissans revered CVT Transmission! If your parents cracked open their wallets, 3 g's gets you the 'Uptown' Caliber with leather, heated power seats, 19in rims & HDD audio.

@BDot11231123 Yep :) It also has sirius satellite radio. I dont mind the interior...you get what you pay for. The only thing I dont like in the caliber is that its slow.

"Its almost like an in car cooler"........thats exactly what it is. Theres also a wall plug under the center armrest, the rear floor DOES come out, theres a removable/rechargable flashlight in the cargo area......... do you know anything about the Caliber? Watch a review on it or read the owners manual or something before you do a "full tour" on a vehicle you know nothing about.

@mcgiggity69 If you want to get rid of a lot of the tire noise you need new tires because the Firestones on it are crap.

GOOD CHOICE. Caliber is a sedan and SUV combined with an exceptional cargo area. I am in the process of buying one and don't worry about the negative comments, the people who can't even afford cars over $4k badmouth these kinda cars

Nice review. I've always liked these cars. I test drove one last year and found it pretty fun to drive. They get a bad rap, but they have a lot of utility I think. Unique design too. Can't wait to see their new compact.
