I see. I am used to the ammo being beside the weapon it applies to.

@pickledtezcat Ok where can I get the original blend file? will try to see if I can make it work. Though my system is Ubuntu 64bit. Maybe that could be a problem. Also I'm trying to do my own Mech "game" but more a graphical exercise where I will try out render to texture as monitors and some other FX and 2d filters. Don't have a clue how to do AI though ;)

Look out for an update coming soon. More worlds, more mechs, more balance.
Also coming soon a preview of the mission mode. Choose your mech and play the first mission.

Pretty fun. An ammo gauge would be handy.

@Kargoneth There is a ammo bar, for each ammo type- right next to where it says AMMO. There is a problem with the bar however, which I will fix in the next update. Currently, going in to minus ammo count makes it go back up a little, which makes it seem you have more ammo than you do. I'm also considering making it a number rather than a bar, but as it's shared between multiple weapons, it would have to be a percentage, not a number of shots counter.

I'm having problems with the torso twist-- it's very clunky and imprecise. I would very much like to know how to tweak the mouse sensitivity, as well. I am having to throw my mouse across the table sometimes just to twist 90 degrees.

@autocon2002
The torso twist is supposed to be quite slow, you can't twist 90 degrees in a single movement. In battletech you can twist the torso once during a turn, and you can't then twist again to target another angle. A turn is 10 seconds, so it should take at least 5 seconds to twist to the full extent. I'm open to adding an option later for different mouse types, if the mouse is the problem. Until then, you could try using a combination of turning the mech and using torso twist.
