Driving Equality was a 107-day, 22,000-mile, 48-state trek across America to collect stories from LGBTQ people in an effort to raise awareness of the various forms of discrimination faced by our community in each state of the nation. Highlighting the differences in rights, laws, and amendments between the states will shed light on the current social standing of queer individuals today. I hope to create a dialogue about the disparities across the nation, and what can be done to end discrimination for all.

During the 107-day trip, I met with LGBTQ community organizers, activists, and any citizens willing to talk, as well as our opposition. The stories we collected are now being compiled into a documentary film to share with you this fascinating snapshot of LGBTQ America.

  • I am angry and sick. Both this child's father and the "therapist" need to be in prison, and Mom needs to have her parental rights terminated if there are any more children at home.

What this young man suffered at the hands of those who were supposed to care for him is inexcusable. I am so sorry. THANK YOU for speaking out.

  • The Christian religion (among others)-is a Doomsday Cult. History is clear>The Crusades-The Inquisition, enslavement, torture & murder-are a mere hint to their evil and the Devil they serve. Christians seem to care more about their own divisive political views-selfish wealth and peoples opinions of them, more than caring about whats right, The Lord-or anything else. They tried to indoctrinate this young man-but failed, so they decided to abuse him instead. Everyone involved should be arrested!

  • This happened in a modern civilised 'free-country'. I am absolutely disgusted that this would be allowed to happen to any individual. If the church wants to preach that being gay is a sin they need to see past their view and into the view of the children that they are indoctrinating and abusing.

I am not a gay or Christian but in a country that wants to call itself free this atrocity must be dealt with. Consequently I'm glad that projects like this exist.

  • @slipebums Huh? Why would you want anyone to be the victim of homophobia? Maybe you need therapy.

  • I THINK BE LESBIANS/ BI WOMEN IS

EASIER EXPECIALLY IN USA COUNTRY BUY FOR MEN IS VERY HARD.

HOPE ONE DAY LESBIANS AND BI WOMEN SUFFER REAL HOMOPHOBIA AS GAY/BI MEN MEN DO!!

  • This is SO horrifying, SO twisted...Even though I don't know you, I'm really proud of you for speaking out like that. The more people hear the truth about homophobia and those twisted “therapies” the better.

    I wish you well.

  • May the true god of love bless your life and heal your pain. You are beautiful. You are perfect.
