20-30 Israelis and a similar numbers of internationals joined each of the last two Palestinian demos in Bil'in. The protesters marched, chanted, reached the wall, got skunked, and watched the army escalate its repression as kids started throwing stones to get them out of their lands. Last week the army continued shooting massive amounts of gas, regardless of the actual presence of protesters, in order to start bush fires that endangered the olive trees. Both weeks the same demonstrator suffered direct hits from gas canisters (in the abdomen and the shoulder). The second time he required hospital treatment. This week the demonstrators ended the demonstration early in order to support the local group in the regional soccer tournament.
So inspiring and so consistent, I almost can't believe how many times these courageous people have been willing to confront the occupation. Thank you for the videos, wish I was there. Hopefully soon.
