An experimental super 8 film incorporating time lapse. All the footage was shot in South Australia over the course of a year or two.

  • what did you use as the interval timer?

  • @humorless349 I used the original Canon Interval Timer E. As this rare little device hasn't been manufactured in well over 20 years, it took me months to track one down. More recently, I tried one of the cheap modern interval timers from Hong Kong but that won't work with my super 8 camera.

  • Hypnotic. Thanks for sharing. That patio reminds me of ACSA.

  • @AdelaideUnderground You're welcome. Yea, that's the front verandah of the house that I used to live in, close to Adelaide. Out of curiosity, what actually is ACSA?

  • @anzaeria I finally just tracked down and bought one of those Canon Interval Timers for my Canon 514 and your film got me super excited to get out and use it!

  • @anzaeria..Well this may sound a little sad and yes probably i should get out more...but hey,who cares!I just put on some on some very chilled out music by a couple of blokes called Harold Budd & Robin Guthrie and watched your video to it and i have to say that it was totally captivating. You have just made somebodies life a little bit better....Cheers!

  • @CommanderTuborg Thankyou Commander! I used the single frame mode on the camera in conjunction with an interval timer. The interval times varied greatly for different subjects. Pedestrians and traffic were photographed at 1 frame per second. For the movement of shadows, I used about 1 frame per minute.

  • @anzaeria

Great video. How did you shoot the time laps? Using the 1fps option on your camera?

  • @SunnyMoonProductions Thanks for the good words!

  • Very cool. The shots that showcase shadows are such a great combination with the films look. The opening shot and the shot at 0:48 are ready for stephen king's next title sequence.
