Jody Miller performs her biggest 1960s hit song on Shivaree. In 1965, she released an answer record to Roger Miller's blockbuster hit "King of the Road," titled "Queen of the House" (which became her signature hit, peaking at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 and at number 5 on the country singles chart).
Shivaree went all out on this one, actually bringing in some "house" props for Jody to dust!

Jody Miller did another great single on Capitol around that time called "Be My Man". Would love to see a video of that one!

I remember watching an episode of the 1960's series "Please Don't Eat the Daisies" with Patricia Crowley singing this song. Both that version and this were great. Thank you for posting this one.
