Thanks..hehe..no, I don't want to be Ravi Shankar, that tumba is big because it sounds good.
@Zapman, it depends what you want to do with this instrument. If you want to use Western tempered tuning that's fine, then you don't need this video because it is meant for students of Indian Music who already have some basic knowledge.
If you are serious about the sitar then you need to have an understanding of the music it was designed for, learning to sing the basic scales is important.
