These are the street dogs of Puerto Rico who live on Los Machos beach. Dogs who live there are regularly abused, struggle with parasites and all in desperate need of rescue.
There are more than 100,000 dogs living on the streets on the island of Puerto Rico. It is a horrific situation for them. "100,000"- a documentary currently in production- further illustrates this problem and explores ways to aleviate and even eliminate it. For more information about "100,000", behind the scenes footage and to share your views and comments you can become a member of the Facebook group "Documental 100,000". I adopted a sato from save-a-sato. Gracie is the best dog ever and we love her. Came from Isabella, PR, to Monroe, Connecticut. It is cold for her but she is happy and healthy. She sleeps on my bed at night. Keep up the good work.
I have 2 rescued satitos but lets face it. If people don't want a dog why get it in the first place it makes me sick...and I am Puerto RIcan. I hate the fact that I cant help them all. The goverment is no good either... =[
