I sure wish I knew. The Silver Dollar City theme park ride it was created for doesn't have any record of the singer, because they use their own "in-house" musicians when needed, and apparently there was no need at the time to preserve the individual attributions :(

this looks really cool. My family has lived in the area for hundreds of years, and my grandmother claims several of our relatives were in the Taney county chapter. I would love to watch this when in is on PBS. Any idea when that may be?

I hope that ride stays there forever, just as it is now! Though at times historically inaccurate, it really stokes the public's interest in the real back-story.
