This video is a simple screencast showing how Google Maps were used to create a static more static mobile experience for using the light rail in Phoenix, Arizona. A previous version had used Raphael to animate the train and indicate its real-time position. The app is part of CityCircles, a 2009 Knight Foundation News Challenge project that creates publishing tools for hyperlocal communities. Our first implementation was for the Phoenix light rail community. This demo is being shared with the online community to advance open-source software.
