As a New York City taxpayer, I resent the fact that my money is being used to send highly trained police after a man with EVERY LEGAL RIGHT TO DO SO selling his art in a park. I also resent the fact that millions of dollars of my tax money and the tax money of my neighbors will have to be paid in damages to Robert Lederman and his associates for OUTRAGEOUSLY VIOLATING HIS CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS. When is this nonsense going to stop?

obviously there are at present no legal grounds for any artist to do exactly what Lederman is doing by selling his art anywhere since he keeps to the size and location logistics, the High Line is on thin ground and should be sued for a million for harassing artists and only then probably will pep and the bids stop the mistreatment of artists.POWER TO THE STREET ARTIST COMMUNITY!

Giuliani militarized the parks department. Back in the day Parks, Traffic and School Safety officers did a good job without being armed to the teeth with clubs and handcuffs.
Stay strong, this is still America we live in.
