Mike Pinder grew up as a child in the war in Britain. In a fairly recent
interview he talks about his new love which is teaching children values
through music and lyrics..that voice of his is still awesome. He has 2
children's albums and loves talking about the Melletron. I do not believe
he wanted to go back to the MB's. He loves his life, but will always be
proud of his music and performance time as a rock n roll band...

John Denver was an incredible personality, a wonderful singer, a tough environmentalist, a cheerful character, a true Dixie soul, a guy who got out of his record label at the top of his fame because they wouldn't let him release anti-weapons songs, and - as far as what they say here - a GENIUS.

Ray now has his own website raythomas.me-go and visit.

@quack10 Zou have no idea who is the Heart and soul of the Moody Blues. They are a group and they hold our hearts!
-
@violetrod I agree. Graeme is full of life when he performs. The group will be okay without RAY, but we will miss him. I hope he is taking care of himself. Do not diminsh the talent of ALL the members. Each contributes to the whole! Yes, they could perform just as well as individually as we know, but as the group....this is what we enjoy! The fill in flutist for Ray was okay, but she will not replace Ray!

Let us not even start talking about one last song. PLEASE. I cannot think of not having the Moody Blues singing for us. Let him take care of his health. IF he wants to return fine..if not...let him rest. We can still enjoy the music.

To quack10: May you age as gracefully, and may you never be harshly judged by a stranger from afar. And keep on thinking free.

Was Phil Spectors wall of sound the influence for the type of production the Moody Blues have recorded?

But. As before. These are my opinions. I probably should have just kept it to my respect of Ray Thomas. He is to me, by far, who the Moody Blues are. In my opinion, without him they should call themselves the "New Moody Blues". Because without Ray, that's kinda what the group is.
I'm gonna subscribe to your posts. You crack me up. Keep up the good luck to you in the new year.

As far as Justin goes. I don't know what to say. I am glad you have a great relationship with him. To call him "probably the most talented singer/songwriter ever" is a stretch. An my claim that he is arrogant is only coming from what I have seen with my own eyes. On stage, and off.
!
I'm very glad to hear Ray is still active with music. I know he loves retirement, but I do hope he comes back to the Moodies for one last album (along with Mike).
