Nothing could compare and nothing can l compare to John. Saw him live once with The Who. Can't forget. Nothing compares. Outstanding. Amazing. Out of words. I play bass myself. Off course; John is the guiding star:)

had the honor of seeing (and hearing!) him live with rat race choir in NYC in '87, in addition to 3 who concerts ('79, '82, '97).
will never ever forget the way his solo's sounded in person.
the best way to describe it is an explosion of sound... the ox was a badass!

HMMM. Heavist The Who song I've ever heard.
-
That's the John Entwistle Band - Google 'em to find Web site, they toured regularly between Who tours - excellent and without a doubt THE loudest club band I've ever heard, which figures considering John (and Keith, his closest mate in The Who) was the main reason for The Who's legendary insistence on playing so loudly.

Well he did try to finger a girl once, unfortunately she died.

From 1:07 it just looks like he's bullying the bass.

I didn't know John was in Dream Theater circa 1994

Wow, so that's where Nintendo got that lick for the rock-ghost boss in Mario Galaxy
NOW YOU'RE TALKIN'. I love Horror Rock. It's one of my favorite Entwistle compositions. RIP Thunderfingers.

Cool channel you've created on you tube man! John deserve all respect! Steve Harris and Billy Sheehan got a lot of him in their styles and says always how they love The Ox! Cheers!

1:16... looks completely bored then busts loose with some intense shit!
God, I loved ya OX! Thanks for breaking down the barriers we bassist are expected to sit quietly behind... yea... why does the bass have to sit in the background following the rhythm? Nah, Ox taught us it's ok to go all off!

Yeah all right! The Ox put the bass guitar in a place where nobody couldn't imagine: as a soloing instrument but in all music that he played! He's the greatest !

Yeah dude! John is a real legend in the music! The Ox will live forever and his mega atomic fuzz tone is unique and outstanding like he use to be!
