Yusuf Estes in Stockholm - Calling on Allah

This is a recording from 6 Oct 2007 when Sheikh Yusuf Estes was in Stockholm Mosque giving a talk on "How to call on Allah and get real answers".

Inshallah, I hope you can see this and hear what he says, because it's a very important subject for us. I tried my hardest to record it in the best way possible with what I had (my phone). This is not the whole lecture, only about 9 min out of about 45.

Sheikh Yusuf Estes is a former Christian preacher who converted into Islam back in 1991 after trying to convert a Muslim to Christianity. But insted he realised the true words of Allah and is now travelling around the globe, spreading the message and words of Almighty Allah. Alhamdulliah, we hope and pray to Allah that he is rewarded with the best of Jannah, Amin! (more)

but in Islam it is also stated that you cannot listen to any music. That you cannot hang pictures or paintings on your wall of living & breathing things. It also states that more women then men will live in Hell. (??!)I looked it up, so i'll spare you all the ranting. I like Muslims, really i do, i was studying about it & thinking really of converting, but i can't live with those trivial things like that! peace

In Islam, any music beside the natural sounds and voices are prohibited. Some scholars state that drums is also a permissible instrument (true or not, I am not to say). About pictures, there is a couple of reasons for this, both logical and spiritual. If you would like to know more, please send me a PM. The verses about Hell and its inhabitants is unknown to me, please give reference to the verses and I will look it up! Peace to you :)

@omsivoham the wife of the prophet related in a hadith that "If the people were order to give up alcohol before they had the understanding of Allah they would not have left it" what this is meaning is that once you have an understanding of the spiritual side of islam (knowing who Allah is) then you gain an understanding of such "trival" things as music and images ect. i thought like this too before i converted but once i understood the religion i understood why these things should be avoided
