  • my only question is why on the inital pass would you stand up using a T push instead of butterfly slide with a backside recovery?

  • @sinfulnate Because the player receiving the pass is behind the goal line. His chances to score are next to nothing from there. He is more likely to pass back out from that situation and a goalie on his feet by the post will be able to push back out a lot quicker than if he was on his knees.

  • @sinfulnate On top of that, not all goalies play well down in butterflies; some are actually faster moving on their feet with a t-push. Every goalie plays different :)

  • the coaches are only shooting on the ice. im 13 and when i have a goalie practice the ahl players are shooting to score
