My 87' Supra Turbo

My 1987 MA70 Turbo Supra.This is both my project car and daily driver.7MGTE motor , 24valve twincam,intercooled ct-26 turbo 230hp(171kw) at 0.5 bar(7.25psi) boost.All stock internals except for Turbosmart boost tee external wastegate.

Interior : All standard except for Toyota TEMS(Toyota Electronic Modulated Suspension).Fully electronic dash.Boost guage

ICE : Jvc organic display MOSFET 50w x 4 Headunit , 3' Clarion splits in the front , 2 boxed Pioneer 3 way 6x9's in the back , 12' Sony Xplode Sub and 250w 2 Channel Kenwood amp.

Work I plan to do :

Exterior : I need to do a full respay in XR6 Blue , 18 inch black powdercoated rims , front TRD lip , needs to be lowered properly on King springs, smoke the tail lights and replace the head and fog lights. Clear indicators and shaven door handles.

Interior: Entire electrical system needs to be replaced , dash needs to be replaced by a proper analogue cluster one(i prefer needles , less to go wrong) .Boost controller

Engine: The first thing I need to do is replace the brake master cylinder , flush the brakes , new brake fluid. Engine check up and full service. Then I need to retorque the head bolts to prevent head gasket failure that these 7M's are famous for.Next a rebuilt ct-26 turbo and replace the stock intercooler. Run higher boost and see how I go from there.

EDIT : I spun a rod bearing so complete rebuild needed immediately,also discs/pads had to be changed and I wanted an lsd diff so I got that in so power can go to both wheels instead of 1.

Im building a new 7MGTE , with parts sourced from a motor with only a 1000ks on it. Arp head bolts, metal head gasket(ofcourse) , forged pistons , adjustable cam gears , TRD camshafts,heat treated crank,12 Injectors(only using 6 for now so I dont run rich). After rebuild is done, bigger turbo , use all 12 injectors , fuel management system , HKS EVC 6 , then see how I go,My goal is 350kw(464hp) at the wheels....

I know where you're coming from , if i had a choice I would of gotten a manual , but i got a really good deal on the car , and the body is clean for a car of that age. The auto wont be able to handle the extra power output once I put a bigger turbo on and run the other 6 injectors.I eventually plan to drop an r154 tranny in , but because im doing the entire engine rebuild , all the electrics , brakes , suspension , i cant afford to do the conversion now.the r154 is bulletproof to 800hp.in time.

@944killa you do know that a built up auto tranny with shift kit and everything can just rape manuals right? thats why 95% of drag cars are auto, id much much rather have a manual to cause there alot more fun to drive but my buddys 95 talon tsi awd is auto and has 230hp right now and its taken tons of 5speed GT mustangs, civics, 5speed LT1 camaro, i used to underestimate autos all the time until i seen what they can actually do lol but hey id still prefer manual lol
