@IsabellasWings That's what it really boils down to-there's nothing wrong with you nor nothing wrong with you child, there's something wrong with the friends and family who can't get over themselves and their discomfort levels. It's selfish really and fear of the unknown. I do hope to connect with you more and to see your videos. Please let us know when you post them!

@IsabellasWings Thanks for sharing your struggles w/ me. It does mean a lot when we can connect about experiencing the same difficult situations. It's a wonderful & amazing act you did by adopting. I think we both will be blessed with true friends & family who care enough to overcome their own personal insecurities.

What a cutie. I have a special needs child and it's a ROUGH hard life. I love him, but just make sure you have a lot of support.

Thank you Tracy3686! We adore our boy and have surrounded ourselves with those who are supportive, understanding and loving. It's been a bit of a "weeding out", but it all works out for the better.

My 10 year old daughter has mild CP & seizures. I guess I've been lucky as far as my friends' and their children's reactions to her. I've only had negative experiences with strangers and some neighbors who don't know us very well. I think it's a real shame how ignorant most people are about CP and how little exposure the condition gets in the media. Latest statistics estimate 1 out of 278 children born in the US are diagnosed with CP, yet you hardly ever see anything about it.

Absolutely. Not many people are supportive of those with disabilities. It can be heartbreaking. We're trying to break that mold and inform more people about it. Got a neat new project going on that I will soon be announcing on YouTube to help with this too!
